Went Abroad to Save My Lover, but Instead I was Taken Prisoner by Gangsters

Alexandra Amberlyn's boyfriend, Eugene Pritchard, is kidnapped during a group trip abroad. He begs her to bring two million dollars to redeem him. She borrows the money and flies out of Denmark, but at the meeting place she is shoved into a van and taken to the kidnappers' hideout. There Eugene stands unharmed, hands the ransom to his superior, Thaddeus, and offers Alexandra to him as well, trading her life for his own.

Thaddeus orders her bound and beaten, and when Eugene pleads for her, he is dragged away too, told that no one who comes to this place ever leaves. Surrounded by the gang, Alexandra notices the flying dragon peacock tattoo on the backs of their necks. It is her own design, drawn three years ago in Lithuania for a white-haired man she saved with CPR, who swore his men would wear it and that he owed her a life.

She calls out that she knows their leader, Uncle Graziano. The men hesitate and look at one another, and the beatings stop.
