Story
The story
On Valentine's Day, Eliza is about to marry Daniel. But six strange men arrive at her door, each with a child, each claiming the child is hers, each armed with DNA results. When Daniel finally appears, he strikes her, and the six men join in. She dies without ever understanding who they were.
She opens her eyes again on February 13th, the day before the wedding. Determined to survive, she tells her parents she is cancelling the ceremony. Their cold, evasive reaction unsettles her, and by morning the six men and children have gathered outside her home, with neighbours pressing in to watch.
Trapped as the crowd turns on her, Eliza must find a way to escape the fate that killed her once before.
Opening excerpt
On my Valentine's Day wedding, six different men showed up at my door, each with a child in tow.
They all swore the kids were mine.
They even pulled out DNA test results.
My fiancé, Daniel, arrived late and saw the scene, then lashed out, hitting me.
The six men joined in, punching and kicking me.
Until my last breath, I had no idea. I didn't even know these men. How could I have had children with them?
When I opened my eyes again, it was February 13th.
The day before the wedding.
"Goodnight, babe. Sleep tight. Tomorrow, you'll be the most beautiful bride in the world. Love you"
