Story

The story

A wife shares a trending meme about eight Swiss rolls in the family group chat, and her husband and son turn on her, calling her a gold-digger for buying a treat. She slaps a ten-dollar bill down and declares she wants a divorce, her treat.

She gave up a good career for the family, nursing her bedridden mother-in-law and raising her son alone while her husband Leo worked and drank. Her son has long sided with his father, even leaving a scar on her wrist. At the courthouse, father and son arrive late in their pajamas, and Leo refuses to split assets, demanding a ten-thousand-dollar breakup fee instead.

She fights back, exposing Leo as Manager Miller to his company and listing their home online. The divorce goes through, and she cashes a lottery ticket worth forty million dollars. When her son's teacher calls about a fight, she calmly says she is no longer his mother.

“Seriously, such a gold-digger!”

Son: “Eat, eat, eat, eat it all! Mom, how old are you? Last year you were acting like one of those trendy influencers, eating just the tips of strawberries.
