Blogger's Revenge: They Begged Me to Come Back

Ruby Pruitt is a travel blogger with a million followers who returns to her hometown and, at the village's pleading, films rustic life there for free. Her vlogs go viral, tourists pour in, and every household opens a country bed-and-breakfast. At the celebration dinner, the mayor and villagers demand a filming payout for their faces, livestock and plants. Ruby terminates the contract on the spot.

Six months later the village has taken out enormous loans to expand its tourism project, and the mayor comes back needing a promo video. Ruby names her price: five million, strictly business. Then the mayor, his son Luther Welch and a drunken crowd corner her, accusing her of pocketing appearance fees. When Luther shoves her mother and blood is spilled, Ruby must get her to a hospital while the villagers block the door.

Candice produces three months of records and the contract, but the crowd turns on her as an outsider. Aunt Hope wails about her grandbabies while wearing five gold rings.
