Watch Your Empire Fall This Life

Elliot has lived this life before. Once, he was the loyal executive assistant to Catherine Dupont, the childhood friend he quietly loved, and he sabotaged a joint venture from Wesley Hawthorne to protect her empire. She never forgave him. She destroyed his adoptive family, and when a car crash finally killed him, she stood over his body and told him to stay out of her business next time. Only in death did he learn the crash was her plan.

Now he is breathing again, and the same proposal is on his desk. This time he does not refuse it. He hands it to Catherine, then dials the number of a private investigator's reward line and tells the stranger on the other end that he is the biological son they have been searching for.

Catherine still burns for Wesley, the golden boy who ignored her for a decade, and she still treats Elliot as the help's kid. He has stopped guarding her. He only has to wait for the empire to fall.
