Too Late for Sorry

For five years, Maya has been Leo's wife, and for five years she has hated him. She collects young lovers and parades them before him, blaming him for the death of Connor, her first love, who was beaten to death after Leo refused him money. When Maya learns the truth, she begs Leo for a second chance, but it is too late: Leo is already dying.

On the night of his ten-year high school reunion, Leo attends alone. Maya arrives in a Chanel suit with Finn, a young man who bears Connor's face, and introduces him as her new executive assistant. She dotes on Finn while ignoring Leo, and Finn later taunts him in the restroom. A rumor about a tip-off before Connor's death hangs over the table.

That night, Maya follows Leo home and destroys their apartment, accusing him of telling Connor's creditors where he was hiding. She calls his illness karma, then storms out, leaving him alone in the ruins.
