A Wilted Rose

After dying at the hands of Carlo Gutierrez, the heir of the Mafia Family, Rosa Shaw wakes on the very day he humiliates her before his men, letting his golden retriever take her seat at the table. In her last life she endured it all, married him, and was tortured in a basement for three years over the death of Gemma Moreno, the Principessa he loved, before her body was thrown into the sea. Now she knows Gemma never truly died.

Bound to Carlo only because her father took a bullet for Don Vinnie, Rosa resolves to live for herself and leave. She packs her few belongings in her attic room, but Carlo kicks the door open, accusing her of faking another suicide. Gemma follows, and a hidden diamond ring makes Rosa flinch away; Gemma falls, and Carlo seizes Rosa by the throat, threatening her with the basement.

Rosa stands her ground and tells him she will soon be gone. This time, she will not make the same choices.
