Time Knows I Loved You, and Always Have

After a single night on a train, Leo wakes to find that fifteen years have passed. His parents are long dead, his phone number is useless, and his wife Ava—once a street vendor—now runs the Astra Group, her face filling a skyscraper billboard. Everyone else from the train has been claimed; Leo is the last one left at the precinct.

He refuses to call anyone but Ava, even though on the day he boarded—their anniversary—he saw her with Ethan, her first love. When the police finally reach her office, she agrees to come. Yet she sends an assistant, Chelsea, to collect him, and waits in a sleek black car, absorbed in her glowing slate.

When their eyes meet, there is no joy, no anger, only stillness. Leo slides in beside a woman who feels like a stranger, unsure what his return has cost her—or what she has become.
