Story
The story
In her previous life, Lydia Reese married Harrison Carter and slowly lost everything: her bright clothes, her friends, her temper, her voice. He called it rules. When she opens her eyes again, the wedding has not yet happened, and she is standing at the top of the stairs in the Reese house.
She tells her father Vincent and the gathered family that she will not go through with the wedding, and suggests Christine marry in her place. Vincent cares only about the Carter family's benefits and the Reese family's face in New York, and Christine's eyes already shine at the thought of the dress. Harrison still grips her wrist and hands her a manual of rules for the future Mrs. Carter.
Lydia quietly calls her mother's lawyer to move the ledgers, account permissions and jewelry her mother left her, and books the earliest flight out after the wedding. She will not tell Harrison that the bride is already being replaced.

In my previous life, after I married Harrison Carter, my closet lost all its vibrant colors. I couldn't answer my friends' calls freely. If I went out at night, I had to report it in advance. I couldn't even speak a single harsh word in front of the Carter family.
Harrison said that as the future Mrs. Carter, I couldn't be as willful as before.
He controlled me, suppressed me, taught me to follow the rules, and ultimately tortured me into a decoration who had to read people's expressions even when smiling.
