The Day the Shoulder Rubs Stopped

For ten years, a wife's husband gave her a shoulder massage before bed, until the night he stopped and mocked her instead. When their nine-year-old son laughed that she was too ugly to touch, her husband only chuckled. The next morning she asked for a divorce.

Ethan calls her, furious that breakfast isn't made and his tie is missing, while their son demands blueberry waffles. She tells him she is done and hangs up. Wandering into a luxury mall, she finds a pair of red heels she cannot afford and takes a job selling shoes to earn them.

Then Ethan walks in with Chloe and a boy named Toby, who calls her the nanny. Ethan offers to buy Chloe the very heels she was promised, and she steps out to face them.
