My Husband Stole My Transplant Fund For His Mistress, So I Sent Him To Prison

Chloe's father secured a $1.8 million critical illness insurance payout before he died of late-stage liver cancer, so her transplant surgery next week would be covered. Her mother Sarah is the donor match. The day the money clears, Chloe's husband Ethan asks to lend half a million dollars to his childhood friend Kevin, whose mother supposedly needs emergency heart bypass surgery.

Before Chloe can call her mother, a notification reveals $500,000 has been transferred to Hailey, Ethan's college classmate, the "little sister" he always mentioned. There is no Kevin. Digging into Ethan's laptop, Chloe finds a three-year correspondence with Hailey: he married Chloe for her family's status, and the two planned to use the insurance money to flee abroad for Hailey's treatment. Chloe records a call with her mother-in-law Helen, whose panicked answers confirm she knew about the scheme.

With her surgery days away, Chloe hides her discovery and lets Ethan believe she will hand over the money, while she gathers evidence against him.
