Story

The story

Antoine carries a rare RH-negative blood type, and for twenty years she has donated it freely, saving ninety-nine strangers. She does it for her mother, who took her own life when Antoine was six, after her father's affair. A medium told her that one hundred good deeds by a blood relative would let her mother's soul rest.

Then the hospital calls again. A six-year-old boy has a massive brain hemorrhage, and only Antoine's blood can save him. Looking at the patient's photo, she recognizes the family: Garcia and Gabriel, the woman and man who destroyed her mother. She refuses, and the city turns on her. A reporter accuses her of murder, a live stream demands her blood, and her fiancé Jordan begs her to reconsider.

Antoine holds firm. The hundredth good deed will not be for her enemy's son.
