Story
The story
After giving birth, Emily Xu is handed divorce papers by her husband, Lucas Sterling, heir to the Sterling Group. He wants her to make room for Sarah Miller, a principal dancer whose career cannot survive a scandal. In her past life, Emily refused and was destroyed; now she signs, asking only for their son Leo's birth certificate and compensation.
Lucas issues a statement blaming the divorce on her infidelity, and the household turns on her. Her newborn is left in a cold storage room while she is ordered to nurse Sarah at a rehabilitation center. Then the police call: Emily, abducted from Qing City as a child, may finally have found her biological parents.
As she prepares to take Leo and go for the DNA test, Lucas returns and strikes her.
