Electrocuted at the Gate

After transferring into the elite Northcrest High School, Wynn Stone finds that every object on campus seems to turn against her. The dorm shower runs only icy water, her student ID fails at every turnstile and card reader, and the classroom multimedia system freezes the moment she touches it. Teachers and classmates alike blame her, and her parents, focused on the coming college entrance exam, tell her to endure it. On exam day, the security gate malfunctions and she is electrocuted to death.

She wakes again on the day she first registers at Northcrest, student ID in hand. This time she resolves to uncover the truth behind whatever is pushing her out. When Mr. Thomas Whitaker calls her to the podium, she asks Jenna Reed to run the equipment instead, then presses the clicker herself and lets the screen go black before the whole class.

As Jenna hisses a threat and the whispers turn in Wynn's favor, a cold smile curls at her lips. In this life, she is not the one who should be afraid.
