The Sweet Swindle

An employee at Aura Cosmetics loves Sweet Bliss Bakery so much that she makes it the vendor for the whole company's daily afternoon snack break. The arrangement guarantees the bakery 150 orders a day at a $15 per-person budget, paid weekly and on time, making it their biggest client for four months straight.

On a day off, she orders the same boba and cupcake through DoorDash and finds the total far cheaper than the corporate rate, with bigger portions, a free mango mochi and a coupon. When she calls the owner, Brenda, to ask why the bulk order costs more and delivers less, Brenda dismisses her as a mooching employee spending company money, then hangs up. The office sits in a food desert, and Brenda knows it.

So the employee posts to the company channel: pause the group order, have everyone order individually through DoorDash, stack the coupons, and keep whatever they save from the $15 budget. The channel erupts, and her phone buzzes. It is Brenda.
