Story
The story
A hospital lab reports a few millilitres of blood missing from an HIV-positive patient's sample, and the case lands with Detective Mark Thompson, a veteran nearing retirement, and his new apprentice. Their only lead is Rachel Wilson, the youngest ER doctor at the hospital — praised by every nurse as skilled, kind and flawless. When the detectives finally visit her home, she greets them in a silk robe, relaxed and smiling, and mentions her brother is away on a business trip. A crash from a closed bedroom door is explained away as Lucky, her rowdy husky.
After the questioning yields nothing, the case stalls. Then a professor from A University vanishes: he boarded a flight to L City but never appears in the footage of passengers disembarking. His name is Ryan Wilson, and his address is the same as Rachel's.
When the detectives return that evening, Rachel is haggard and tearful, begging them to find her brother. What began as a missing blood sample is drawing them toward a hidden truth — cruel and tragic.
