When We Collided

After her family goes bankrupt, Juliet Wilson moves to the countryside and cuts off contact with everyone, spending a year at a prep school before earning a place at Northwood University. There she runs into her old classmate Chloe Miller, who pulls her back into the high school group chat and the world she left behind.

Juliet had once chased Adrian Anderson for three years, though she insists he never liked her back. Now he has a girlfriend, and she tells herself the past is behind her. Yet when she adds him from the group chat, he accepts, and a brief exchange leaves her unsettled.

At a volunteer event at the basketball court, Juliet spots Adrian among the visiting players, his hair dyed a bold red. He has changed, but his cold eyes have not, and the sight of the girl beside him makes her heart sink.
