Zombies Be My Wrath

Melanie has just been confirmed as a kidney match for her husband Julian's adoptive sister, Jessica Taylor. But when she sees a chat on Jessica's iPad warning that the surgery will trigger a hidden heart condition, she cancels the donation. Julian is furious, calls her cold-blooded, and forces her to sign a divorce agreement that leaves her with nothing.

Outside the hospital room, Melanie overhears Jessica laughing that the chat was a fake screenshot, and watches Julian kiss her. Melanie sneers, because she has come back from the future. In two weeks the zombie outbreak will begin, and these two lovers will steal her medicine and push her out to the zombies. With only days left, she mortgages the penthouse, maxes out her credit, and fills an underground bunker with food, medicine, and weapons.

As dark red rain falls, Melanie waits safely behind bulletproof glass, watching Julian and Jessica celebrate in the penthouse she has rigged with cameras, and wondering how long they can last.
