Fractured Faith, Rekindled Affection

During a blizzard, a pregnant Caroline waits for her husband Jordan to pick her up, but he never comes. She falls, loses the baby, and wakes in the hospital to find no missed calls from him — only a social media post from his assistant, Qiana, thanking Dr. Miller for her own healthy pregnancy.

When Jordan finally calls, his first words accuse Caroline of threatening him with divorce and now this. Cold and distant, he shows no concern for the wife he left stranded. A gynecologist by trade, he cannot see what he has done.

Caroline stops waiting. She lets his calls ring, takes the Uber home, and throws herself into work, quietly preparing a life without him. Jordan notices the distance and grows uneasy, but she no longer needs him to come for her.
