Money Is The Only Loyal Love

A girl raised in a poor country hollow is taught by her mother that family, friendship and love all betray you, and only money stays loyal. When her biological father, Alistair Prescott, appears, she learns he wants her bone marrow for his son Remy, who has leukemia. Her mother hands her over for Five Million Dollars.

At the Prescott estate she is slapped by her half-sister Sierra, made to kneel for hours, and housed in the staff quarters. She smiles through cruelty at home and at school, hides her intelligence, and grows deliberately forgettable, waiting for her opening.

After another painful harvest for Remy, she finally earns a room of her own. When her exam scores place her among the city's top students, Alistair sees her as a daughter for the first time.
