Story
The story
Caleb was Willow's first love, the heir who pursued her relentlessly and married her three years ago. Their love story was envied across the internet, and Willow believed every promise he wrote for her. Then he brought home Daisy, claiming she carried the child of his fallen brother Oliver, and asked Willow to care for her.
When a car crash leaves Willow with a miscarriage, Caleb saves Daisy first. At the hospital he holds Daisy, whose belly is visibly rounded, and tells Willow to stop making a fuss. From the next room she hears him confess his love to Daisy. That night she packs her bags, leaving behind the miscarriage report and two time capsules holding his old vows, and breaks her SIM card before boarding.
A sham divorce follows, but Willow signs without a word. She applies for a visa and erases her records from the system, preparing a departure Caleb never sees coming.

At the hospital, the doctor told me I had a miscarriage because I was taken to the hospital too late after the accident.
"Caleb," I croaked, "our baby is gone."
Caleb was standing at the door of the ward, holding his mistress, Daisy.
Daisy only had a few scrapes.
He frowned. "Willow, stop making a fuss. Daisy's pregnancy is still delicate."
That's when I finally saw it clearly. The woman he was protecting had a visibly rounded belly, at least four months along.
