Chapter 3The Alpha’s Hidden Obsession

My brother told me to talk to the omega.

The child couldn't be kept.

Whatever compensation was needed, we would pay.

And for the abortion, my brother insisted on going to the clinic personally to supervise.

"Why?"

"Why? What if they take the money and secretly have the baby?"

"What if they use the kid to harass you later?"

"With a child involved, two people can never cleanly break ties. Do you understand, Shawn?"

He was so serious when he said this that I couldn't argue.

I was even more troubled inside.

My brother wanted to supervise personally. How was I going to cover this up?

I went to my best friend, Sam, to discuss it.

He didn't have any good ideas either.

"Why don't you just confess to your brother?"

"Just say you're the one who's pregnant, and it's his child."

"You've had a crush on him for years anyway."

I lowered my head, my voice dropping.

"But my brother has always just seen me as a little brother."

"If he knew I deliberately took advantage of his rut, and did that with him..."

"He would find me disgusting."

Even Sam couldn't answer that.

I didn't dare risk it. I could keep my crush a secret. At least...

I still had a role, a way to stay by his side forever.
