Story

The story

On the eve of his wedding, Alex Harrington is summoned to a hospital by his fiancée, Chloe Peterson. Her young assistant, Leo Hayes, has drunk driven and killed a homeless man, and Chloe wants Alex to sign a confession and take the fall. She offers him twenty percent of the company's shares and promises the wedding will proceed, while her legal team insists that Peterson Holdings' upcoming IPO must not be affected.

Alex refuses. To honor his late grandfather's wish, he had agreed to marry Chloe and keep his identity hidden, but her cold calculation and the executives' talk of money and image sicken him. When Chloe threatens him with bodyguards and boasts that no one would ever know if he disappeared, he stands his ground.

Then Leo appears in a patient gown and accuses Alex of the crime. Facing the frame-up, Alex asks for proof.

"I've already investigated thoroughly. The victim was a homeless man, no family, no one.
