The Doctor and the Dress

After a draining surgery, Dr. Xin receives photos from her fiancé Julian's assistant, Chloe, trying on wedding dresses while clinging to Julian's arm. Once, she would have demanded answers; now she simply replies that whichever dress Chloe likes is fine. Julian calls to scold her for being rude, insisting Chloe was only helping and that she must apologize over dinner.

Julian's anger grows when Vivian refuses, and their five years together reach their first real defiance. Feverish and exhausted, she watches him hand her Chloe's examination report, only for a message from "Little Trouble Maker" to surface: a maid-outfit selfie thanking him for the clothes. He snatches the phone back, blames her, and leaves for the office. At four in the morning, another selfie arrives, showing Chloe in a low-cut maid outfit with red marks on her neck, Julian working behind her.

When he returns hungry and demands egg noodles, Vivian no longer waits on him. She tells him she can make room for Chloe before the wedding. Days pass; his only message says he sent mangoes home, though she is allergic to them.
