The Drink He Never Shared

Tessa has been married to Aaron Jefferson for seven years, and their marriage has cooled into neglect. Aaron, a professor with a severe germphobia, refuses to share everyday items with her, yet a video shows him drinking from a student's coffee cup without hesitation. When Tessa pours herself a glass of water and offers it to him, he recoils, calling her one of "other people." She walks into an operating room and ends her pregnancy alone.

Afterward, Aaron texts her to buy pastries for his student Vivian Sidwell's dinner, remembering Viv's tastes but forgetting Tessa's mushroom allergy, which once nearly killed her. At home, Vivian sprays alcohol in Tessa's face and wears Aaron's custom shirt; he defends the girl and mocks Tessa as a housewife who only knows the kitchen. Tessa asks a friend to find her a lawyer, but as she tries to tell Aaron about the hospital, he cuts her off, unwilling to spare her a single sentence.
