For eighteen years, Corinne Henson's mother gave up her job and her rest to raise Corinne's son while her mother-in-law, Trina, stayed away, claiming a bad back. The day the boy leaves for college, Corinne's husband Dirk James brings Trina home, throws her mother's luggage into the street and orders the older woman out, telling Corinne that from now on she is to wait on his mother hand and foot.
