Story

The story

Since his wife passed, Mr. Edison has raised his son Finn alone, and now Finn is about to marry Chloe Cyrus. When Finn asks his father to help Chloe move her belongings, Mr. Edison arrives at her unlocked apartment and stumbles upon her in a private, intimate moment. Mortified, he retreats, but the image lingers, and Chloe soon appears in revealing clothes, her bold glances and whispered questions unsettling him further.

On the crowded bus and then on the motorcycle ride to collect her things, Chloe presses close, teasing him about his loneliness and comparing him to Finn. Her touch and her words test the restraint of a man who has been alone for years, even as he insists that she is his son's future wife.

When they reach the new apartment, Chloe hands him a change of clothes and follows him to the bathroom in sheer lingerie, offering to wash him. Mr. Edison must decide how far he will let this dangerous temptation go.

My future daughter-in-law, Chloe Cyrus, knelt on the floor in a deep V-neck lace nightgown, her face flushed with a hint of longing as she looked up at me.

"Mr. Edison, let me take good care of you tonight."

My eyes fell on the proud, smooth swell exposed at her chest, and I swallowed hard. "This… this isn't appropriate, is it?"
