Keep the Kid, I'm Out

Jasper Carter's terminally ill ex, Natalie Klutz, has just given birth, and his parents, Josephine and Raymond, hire bodyguards to keep his wife, Emily Haden, away from the hospital. But Emily never comes. Jasper believes he is only granting Natalie's dying wish to be a mother, and that Emily will forgive him in time.

Emily has just submitted her paperwork to leave the country and join Doctors Without Borders. She returns home to find Natalie installed in her room, the study turned into a nursery, and Jasper feeding Natalie like a devoted husband. His family calls Emily dead weight, and Jasper insists the baby was for her, since she cannot have children after a past accident.

When Jasper threatens her and promises to name her the baby's mother at next week's banquet, Emily agrees and goes to pack. She plans to be gone by then, but not before leaving a goodbye they will remember.
