The Moon Won’t Shine On Me

For three years, Katie has kept her affair with Eden Smith, the younger brother of her brother's best friend, hidden from everyone. He pulls her close in bars, in the wild, in empty restrooms, always eager for more, yet he never stays the night. When she asks whether they should finally come clean to their families, Eden pulls away, claiming he is not ready and would not want to sell her short.

On his birthday, Katie overhears his friends teasing him about her. Eden answers coldly that June is the only one in his heart. She learns that he once stepped in so she would quit competing with June for lead singer, and that he and June are childhood sweethearts. Katie calls her parents and agrees to return home for blind dates within a week.

That night Eden slips into her room, but a special ringtone pulls him away. When Katie falls down the stairs with a fever, he lifts her into his car, then abandons her on the roadside to rush to June. At the hospital, June appears, and Eden tells her Katie is merely a sister of his brother's friend.
