Between My Husband and Friend, Who Was My Real Ally

On vacation with her attentive husband Nate Blackwell, pregnant Bella stumbles onto a nearby livestream auctioning a "lucky bitch" — a pregnant woman whose photo looks uncannily like her. The buyer, Morgan Reed of NextGen Builders, brags about his purchase, and the handoff is set for ten o'clock in the underground parking lot of the Luxe Hotel, where Bella and Nate are staying. When Nate suddenly insists on taking her downstairs for a late-night snack, Bella panics and sends him out alone.

She calls her best friend Cassie Harper, who laughs off her fears, insisting Nate adores her. But when the livestream updates, Morgan complains the seller postponed delivery because the "item" threw a fit — and mentions a detail only Nate could know. Bella begins to suspect her husband is the seller.

Nate returns with barbecue, then makes a chilling remark about pregnant women bringing good luck. That night Bella searches his phone and finds nothing suspicious — leaving her torn between doubt and dread.
