Story
The story
Milena refuses to donate a kidney to her sister Rae, and her family brands her selfish at her own engagement party. Her fiancé Hunter walks out, and Kai Richards, heir to a powerful family, steps forward with a proposal she accepts out of spite. For five years Kai treats her like a princess, and their son Leon is born.
When four-year-old Leon is found dead in the sea, his kidneys harvested, grief destroys Milena's health. Then she overhears Kai and her father in the study: Rae has waited five years for a kidney, and Kai married Milena only to father a donor match. Rae, he says, is the love of his life; Leon meant nothing.
Kai's mute bodyguard Clayton seizes Milena in the hall and silences her as Rae kisses Kai inside. Realising she must hide what she knows, Milena resolves to play along and wait for revenge.
