Story

The story

In the week before New Year's Eve, a young woman notices that her boyfriend has changed: calmer, more disciplined, suddenly devoted to artisanal teas and wellness instead of extreme sports, and strangely reserved in bed. She believes he has finally grown up and is ready to settle down with her.

Then she comes home early to surprise him for his birthday and overhears a phone call. The man in her apartment is not her boyfriend Declan at all, but Declan's twin brother Rhys, who has quietly taken his place while Declan travels with Sloane. Declan's voice on the line even advises Rhys to give her the cold shoulder so she will fall in line.

Caught in the shadows, she must decide what to do with the truth: the gentle, attentive man she has been falling for is a stand-in, and the real Declan would rather hand her over than give up his trip.
