Three years into our marriage, my husband, Arthur, secretly became the sugar daddy to a college girl.

I stared at the hotel receipts Arthur had racked up.

He held his head in his hands and cried hysterically, claiming he had developed Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID).

"Serena, I didn't cheat on you! The one who cheated is my other personality!

"If I ever do anything to betray you again, I'll kill myself."

Faced with his pathetic, desperate lie, I pretended to believe him completely.

But when I turned around and picked out a handsome college boy for myself, Arthur was furious.

"Serena, we aren't even divorced yet! How could you cheat on me?!"

I pulled out a medical report from the hospital, wiped my tears, and explained: "The doctor said I also developed DID. My other personality really needed some comfort."

When I finally held another man's hand and finalized the divorce, Arthur regretted everything.
