We Parted When The Bellflowers Bloomed

Five years after altering her face and faking her death, Giselle runs a small flower shop, hiding with her young son Andy. When Nolan walks in to buy white bellflowers for his late wife, she freezes: it is the anniversary of her own death, and the flowers mean hopeless love. Andy wanders out, and his face is almost identical to Nolan's.

Giselle insists the boy is the child of her late husband, but Nolan kneels to question him, his doubt plain. Then Yvonne arrives, arm through Nolan's, reminding him of their five-year pact and the wedding Port Vista awaits, her hand resting on her belly. She alone knows Giselle's new face, and her warning glare lingers on Andy.

Nolan pays and leaves with Yvonne. Giselle knows she must move to another city, and remembers the sister she once welcomed, the fiancé who promised to marry only her, and the betrayal that cost her everything.
