Story

The story

Born with Epidermolysis Bullosa, a woman's skin is as fragile as a butterfly's wings. After her family goes bankrupt, she asks her billionaire husband, Lucas Sterling, for a loan. He takes her to a tattoo parlor and offers one million dollars per tattoo. Knowing it is revenge for interfering with his mistress Sarah Miller, she agrees. Ten tattoos later, a systemic infection clouds her mind, and he throws her ten million Vietnamese Dong, less than five hundred US dollars. She smiles and asks for divorce papers, but Lucas refuses, ordering her to give the master bedroom to Sarah.

Opening excerpt

After my family went bankrupt, I asked my billionaire husband for a loan.

Lucas Sterling took me to a tattoo parlor, raising an eyebrow at me.

"One million dollars for one tattoo. How much do you want to borrow?"

I knew this was his revenge, that I shouldn't touch his canary.

But I nodded anyway.

The first succubus tattoo landed on my private parts; I bit my tongue until it bled.

The second tattoo, the word "Harder" on my lower back, bled profusely.

By the time ten tattoos were done, a systemic infection blurred my consciousness.
