Story

The story

Everyone in Los Angeles knows that Sean Sterling adores his wife, Vivian Vance. He cooks her every meal, shields her from falling bricks in an earthquake, and lit up the city with fireworks when they married. Vivian believed it all, until a stranger's friend request on their fifth anniversary reveals a hidden life: photos of Sean with Joy Foster, his young assistant, in hotels, on trips, and in Vivian's own bed.

When Vivian finds Joy's belongings hidden in her wardrobe and car, she stops believing his excuses. She tells her parents, Raymond and Rosalind Vance, that Sean cheated and she intends to divorce him and leave the country. Sean, unaware, presents her with a ruby bracelet and promises to make up for missing their dinner.

Vivian says nothing, quietly planning a life without him, while Sean arranges a trip with Joy. The question is whether Vivian can walk away before he notices.
