Story

The story

After taking the fall for Cole Greyhouse, a nobleman, Leah spends three torturous years in a dark underground cell. He once held her hand and tearfully promised to wait for her and marry her on her release. But when she walks free, he is nowhere to be found.

At the palace she finds Cole with another woman on his arm and a mocking smile, making clear he never meant to keep his word. Heartbroken, Leah accepts the marriage her family arranged. On her wedding day Cole crashes the ceremony with his comrades, jeering that she is pathetic for wearing a bridal gown meant for a royal bride. Then his uncle, Fenryr Greyhouse, the youngest Alpha King in Lunholm's history, arrives, drapes a shawl around her shoulders and slides a wedding ring onto her finger.

As Cole panics and his friends mock her, Leah must hold her ground before her wedding to the Alpha King begins.
