After my girlfriend cheated on me, I started my revenge.

While clearing out the trash, a man finds a pair of his girlfriend Vanessa's discarded pantyhose, torn in ways that make no sense for a flight attendant's shift. His suspicions harden when she claims she must fly all week, and he soon follows her from the airport to a secluded corner, where he overhears her with another man and records everything in secret.

The man is Richard, Vanessa's flight manager, twenty years her senior, married, and balding. Back home, the narrator hires a private detective to uncover everything about him, then unlocks Vanessa's phone and finds the messages that reveal her real plan: she intends to stay until her name is on his house, then leave him for Richard.

Now he knows her love was never real, and he begins to plan his next move.
