They Killed Me To Bring Her Back

For five years, a player wore Ava's skin, living her life as a game. When the mission ended, the System recalled Ava to her own body. She ran home to her mother, father and brother, but they locked her in the basement, beating and starving her to force their "real" daughter, Chloe, back. Only her fiancé, Ethan, came for her, carrying her out bruised and bleeding, promising her a home and a son.

Now, in a delivery room, Ava hears Ethan and her parents through the door: the baby will be taken, her reputation destroyed, her despair driven to one hundred percent so Chloe can return. The child is lost, and a drunk man bursts into her hospital room, claiming she seduced him and killed their baby, while onlookers film and her father's cane falls.
