The Price of Choosing Wrong

Zachary has spent years building a company alongside Samantha, the woman he met in college and planned to marry. When he points out a costly mistake made by Lucas, a careless intern whose father is a major shareholder, Samantha demands he step aside and become Lucas's assistant in exchange for publicly announcing their engagement. Zachary refuses, resigns, and ends their relationship.

Samantha refuses to believe he means it, warning him about the brutal job market and his hard-won position. At home, she dotes on Lucas and expects Zachary to apologize, while Lucas stages accidents to turn her against him. When she finally offers marriage on the condition that he serve as Lucas's assistant, Zachary sees how far they have grown apart.

An industry leader offers him a fresh start, but Samantha's calls and Lucas's schemes keep pulling him back toward a past he is ready to leave behind.
