Story

The story

A daughter carries her father's ashes home for burial after he dies in the line of duty, but at the entrance to her neighbourhood she collides with a woman whose unleashed dog runs into her. The urn falls; the woman slaps her and demands she kneel and hand over the urn to honour the injured dog.

The woman boasts that her husband is Ethan Stanford, heir to Stanford Group, and produces a marriage certificate naming herself as Layla Lewis. The daughter, Nora Quinton, is Ethan's legally married wife, and her friend Vanessa Summer of Capital City steps in to defend her. Bodyguards beat them; a knife slashes Vanessa's arm, and Layla smashes Nora's phone when Ethan calls.

As Layla raises the urn to destroy it and insults Nora's late father, police officers arrive and order everyone to stop. Seeing Layla, the officers' expressions change, and they turn angry eyes on Nora and Vanessa.
