Call Me A Gold Digger

When Lila Michell refuses her supervisor Braden's advances, he turns the company-wide Slack channel into a weapon, branding her a serial grifter who blackmails men. In her past life, the lie worked: the viral mob destroyed her family, and she paid Braden every cent of her savings for silence. Now she has been pulled back to the exact minute of her refusal.

This time Lila does not panic. She types a mocking confession into the general channel, daring the mob to call her a gold digger. Braden demands fifteen thousand dollars for his silence, then deletes the message; HR director Jocelyn summons her and pushes a resignation, then an unpaid suspension and a company-wide termination notice. At her desk, a stranger named Shane waves a banner accusing her of stealing seventy-five thousand dollars.

Lila recognizes the playbook from her last life. She will not sign, will not pay, and will not run.
