He Forgot Our Wedding, So I Walked Away Forever

Oscar Weiss has lived alone for over twenty years, and he keeps forgetting he has a girlfriend. He buys one concert ticket. He vanishes mid-trip. On the day of their wedding photo shoot, he walks out the door without Lucille Simmons, then sends a text to reschedule. At the studio, she finds him beside Gwyneth Pruitt in a wedding gown.

Mistaken for temp staff, Lucille holds a reflector while the couple poses on a set she designed herself, over three days and nights, to mark eight years together. When Gwyneth tears the lace of an antique gown that belonged to Lucille's grandmother and mother, Oscar slaps her and blames her. He mocks the twenty pounds she gained to donate bone marrow for him. She ends the friendship and leaves.

That night Oscar brings home seafood porridge, but the shrimp and abalone are gone, and Gwyneth's feed shows the crawfish he peeled for her. Lucille messages her boss and accepts the overseas posting to France.
