Happier Without My Cheating Ex-Wife

Alex discovers a traffic-camera photo of his wife Chloe kissing her ex-boyfriend Liam, and finally understands that his one-sided devotion has no future. He handles the ticket alone, attends her grandfather's funeral by himself, drafts divorce papers and mails them to her office, determined to become his own man.

His friend Tyler urges him to take Professor Miller's international project, and Alex agrees, with departure only a week away. Yet Chloe keeps him close with polite, distant requests, while Liam acts like the man of the house. At the university's Founders' Day celebration, Chloe introduces Liam as the most important person in her life, and when Liam cries out about a snake, she shoves Alex into Unity Lake.

Soaked and freezing, Alex meets her guilty gaze and must decide how much of himself he is still willing to lose.
