Story
The story
He was a bloodied street kid when he tattooed her name over his heart. Years later, Silas rules the East Side and calls Raven his queen—until his little starlet, Skylar Bell, walks into their home flaunting a fake belly. Raven demands a test; Skylar bleeds, Silas rages, and presses a knife to Raven's throat. She answers with a gun to his heart.
Silas wants to keep Skylar, craving a quiet, normal life. Raven warns that dragging that world into theirs is a death wish. He calls it her last chance and leaves. Dominic Cross asks if she still loves him. Love, she says, is a painkiller; power is oxygen. Then word comes that Augustus Stone, boss of the North Side—her father—is dead. She did it.
Skylar moves in, snatching Raven's files and drawing blood. Raven fires a shot into the liquor cabinet and gives Silas twenty minutes to clear his people out—or plan a funeral.

Years later, he ruled the East Side—and called me his queen.
Until his little starlet walked into our home, flaunting a fake belly.
I told them to test it.
She bled. He raged.
He pressed a knife to my throat—
So I pressed my gun to his heart.
“You’ve changed, Silas. Good thing I haven’t.”
Bang.
The one who fell was Jax, Silas's loyal, limping subordinate.
"So you care that much? Right. That little starlet? Jax groomed her, carefully, perfectly, just to send her your way.
