My Madness, His Million-Dollar Hit

After four years locked in a psychiatric hospital on her husband Victor's word, Kathy Barrett comes home to changed locks, a strange woman in her silk robe, and a daughter who calls another woman "Mama Sienna" and shrinks from her as the bad lady. Victor offers her a cheap motel room and lawyers in the morning.

Then a billboard shows her own face on a film called Madwoman, a hit that made millions, credited to Victor. She calls a number saved for four years, and Dominic answers from London, promising to return in three days.

At the Crestview estate she finds Victor and Sienna together, and when she reaches for Lucy, Victor twists her wrist, throws her into the broken porcelain, and has her dumped in the rain, warning that a return means Havenwood. Bruised and bleeding, she lies in the storm, with Dominic still three days away.
