Story

The story

After years of chasing Adolph Scott from college into his company, Aurora Jenkins finally overhears the truth: to him, she is a nuisance, a dog by his side. She resigns on the spot, walking out of the office where she once delivered his breakfast every day.

That same night, a video shows Adolph laughing with friends about her devotion. Waking up at last, Aurora messages the man her family arranged for her to meet. At the restaurant she bumps into Archer Kingston, a powerful, notoriously difficult industry figure — and learns he has come in place of the nephew she was promised.

Archer offers her his personal statement, declaring he came with the intention of marriage. Aurora must decide what she truly wants, now that the man she chased is behind her.

Opening excerpt

After Dumping My Ex, I Married His Boss

Adolph Scott, my boss, glared at me, his face cold.

"Can't even control your mouth, why are you drinking?"

A brief, stunned silence hung in the air.

Then, Archer Kingston, the notoriously hard-to-deal-with Project CEO, let out a cold laugh from across the table.
