Husband Accompanies Mistress for Prenatal Checkup

When her daughter falls into a high fever and convulsions, a wife must drive herself through the paralyzed traffic of Sansworth. But her husband, Samuel, has taken the car with a spare key, and he hangs up every time she calls. By three in the morning, on a shared electric bike, her daughter stops breathing.

Grief barely settles before a checkup form Samuel sent by mistake reveals the truth: while she and her daughter needed him most, he was accompanying his mistress, Sacha, to a prenatal checkup. When he finally returns seven days later, he orders her to cook for Sacha and dismisses her pain. She asks for a divorce.

At the hospital, collecting her daughter's death certificate, she meets them again. Samuel grabs the paper from the ground, and his voice trembles as he asks whether it is true.
