Story
The story
Luna's parents died on an overseas mission, officially branded traitors. When she begged her fiancé, a police captain, to clear their names, he instead married the hostage they had rescued. Hounded by online hate, Luna stood on a rooftop edge until Alistair, a medical examiner, pulled her back and swore to prove her parents' innocence.
Five years later, pregnant and still waiting, Luna overhears Alistair say the case is closed and that Rosalind will always be safe. In his locked study she finds autopsy photos, a file naming Rosalind, and the words COLD CASE. An album reveals Rosalind had known the brothers for over a decade.
Luna photographs everything, books a one-way flight, and files to erase her identity. When Alistair learns she is pregnant, his joy and his doubled shopping cart betray how long he has been preparing for a life built on lies.
