The Wager Agreement

To settle a bet, a wife goes undercover as an intern at the company run by her husband, Vincent Aronsohn. On her first day, a woman storms the lobby and waves a marriage certificate, declaring herself the real Mrs. Aronsohn and ordering the new intern to bow her head.

The woman is Isabelle Ferrari, said to be Vincent's cherished old flame. She humiliates the intern over a late coffee, threatens to fire her, and barges into the employee cafeteria to pour her own food into the communal vat. When the cafeteria manager refuses, Isabelle calls Vincent, who orders everyone involved to apologize or lose their pay and bonuses.

Only one real marriage certificate exists, and it rests in the wife's safe at home. She stays silent, watching how far Vincent will let this self-proclaimed Mrs. Aronsohn go.
